Cocoa for life: +Forests in the Amazon

Cocoa for life: +Forests in the Amazon seeks to consolidate a resilient, transparent and deforestation-free cocoa value chain as a path to stabilize the agricultural frontier, promote sustainable management at the landscape level, and guarantee the well-being of cocoa families in the Colombian Amazon Piedmont.

Cocoa for Life is a program of the Cocoa, Forests & Peace initiative – CF&P. This initiative is a public-private effort that aims to promote cocoa agroforestry models that close the agricultural frontier, protect strategic systems, adequate land use, and help implement the peace agreement in the Amazon Piedmont.

With more than 20 adherents including the Government of Colombia, more than 90% of the industry, the federation and cocoa producing associations, civil society organizations and International Cooperation. CB&P is part of the Cocoa and Forest initiative of the World Cocoa Foundation – CFI, the Tropical Forest Alliance – TFA, and the Coalition for Food and Land Use – FOLU.
