Cocoa for Life: + Forests in the Sierra

Our goal is to consolidate a zero deforestation cocoa value chain in accordance with the principles of managing the territory of the Kogui, Wiwa and Arhuaca communities of the Sierra Nevada. Guaranteeing sustainable land use at the landscape level, as well as the volumes and quality demanded by the market, to ensure the well-being of the cocoa-growing families of the Sierra Nevada and access to international markets.

Cocoa for Life is a program of the Cocoa, Forest & Peace Initiative. This initiative is a public-private effort that aims to promote cocoa agroforestry models that close the agricultural frontier, protect strategic systems, adequate land use, and help implement the peace agreement in diverse territories of Colombia.
