Study of the Mining Conflict in Colombia: National Planning Department

Mining in Colombia is one of the main economic engines of the country. Making it an activity that is increasingly responsible for the environment and local communities is a path that the country is just beginning to take. Accompanying the public and private sector in its intervention processes is the expertise of Alisos, which supported the National Planning Department (DPN) in conducting consultations with local and departmental stakeholders, through multisectoral dialogues in three strategic mining areas such as Bajo Cauca, Soacha and Valledupar with the aim of identifying and assessing existing and potential conflicts in social, labor, institutional, economic and environmental matters.
